For your calendar

Report Cards will be sent home Monday, January 13 along with mid year reading and math data reports.
Students will be participating in a Bus Evacuation drill on Wednesday, January 15 at school. This is required in case there was ever a need while students were on a field trip.
Schools closed Monday, January 20 for Martin Luther King Jr. Day.
May Day Play Day has been changed from Monday, May 19 to Friday, May 16, 2025. Rain day is Tuesday, May 20. Please add this to your end of year dates.

Congratulations to Mrs. Heather Hurt

So proud to share again the recognition of one of our stellar instructional leaders at East. Heather Hurt, 5th grade math teacher, was formally recognized Wednesday evening in Montgomery for being an Alabama finalist for the Presidential Award for Excellence Mathematics and Science Teaching. Dr. Eric G. Mackey, Alabama State Superintendent of Education, was a speaker congratulating and thanking the teacher honorees.
